We have prepared soothing spaces for you to take in the feeling of Nara. Sky Terrace is positioned with the five-storied pagoda right before your eyes, and the library is filled with books selected by Mr. Horibe, known as the “sommelier of books,” for you to learn about Nara’s history and more. And in the lounge for staying guests only, you can savor some light meals and drinks. The hotel offers a full range of spaces where you can take your time and relax outside of your guest room.

With Japanese cedar and cypress from Yoshino, Nara, and earth of Tsukigase, and more.... Setre Naramachi has been built using raw materials nurtured over the years in Nara and by employing traditional techniques. The timber of Yoshino has not just been used in architecture, but also to make original furniture. Bountiful nature that has been used to create Setre provides ultimate places to relax, as if you were forest bathing.

The beds are Hollywood type, with two arranged side by side. This is a room with a tsubo niwa (small inner garden), which is always present in Nara’s traditional machiya wooden townhouses. Recommended for guests who are looking for a room with an even greater sense of Nara.
